About

Miriam Finnerty MIACP, is a skilled and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist who always maintains safety within the therapeutic relationship. Miriam applies an integrative person-centered approach and believes every human is unique, you are the expert in your life and the only one who can implement the right change for you. Miriam is empathetic, authentic, non-judgemental, compassionate, respectful, ethical and will provide a uniquely tailored approach for you.

Miriam received a Bachelor Degree in Counselling from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle, Western Australia and a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy from ICPPD, Athlone, Ireland. Miriam has worked as a therapist in not-for-profit organisations in Australia and Ireland along with a large employee assistance program in Ireland.
Miriam decided to set up Spring Sanctuary Counselling and Psychotherapy to offer face to face and online holistic services to her community who are seeking support in their life. When it comes to life’s challenging and rewarding times all we want is to be heard and understood without judgment or receiving advice.

“Too often we are told by our society and culture what we ‘should’ and ‘should not’ do, say, believe and feel. I offer a supportive environment to find what lies beneath. In my practice you will be provided the time and space to discover what truly matters to you and what will help you fulfill a meaningful and purposeful life.” Miriam @ Spring Sanctuary Counselling & Psychotherapy

Miriam offers general counselling services for individuals and couples in areas such as anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, personal development, substance use, sexuality, identity problems, relationships and specialises in fertility.
